The Attitude Mindset

One of the great ideas of modern time is that you can show up half naked in a barrel and do anything, anytime and first time, without the proper practice and equipment

The attitude mindset is closely related to what is called the “fixed mindset” ( Carol Dweck) . It is the idea that talent will make everything easy for the gifted ones, while the rest of us are doomed to stay in the gutter. It is the opposite of the “growth mindset”, related to the Skill mindset, that states you can learn things and it will actually be much more fun if you focus on learning and making mistakes along the way

The attitude mindset is to think the art of perfection is all about being born under the right stars, and less about practice.

Often it makes people show up unprepared and “happy go lucky” attitude for anything from a price-boxing match, to poker games or to the foot of Mount Everest, ready to fake it till they make it…
