Wonder how we can learn to stick to what is good for us
Thoughts on commitment and persistence
Text and drawing by Frits Ahlefeldt
Most of us know what to do, what will make our lives easier, our bodies more healthy, give us energy and help us avoid hitting the rocks on the bottom. Still there is a long way from knowing to committing
Will it work to strap ourselves the the mast, as Odysseus did in the ancient story to avoid jumping ship at the sound of temptation or is there other ways to avoid deviating from what we have set out to do
Apparently succeeding has a lot to do with commitment, and a lot to do with removing quitting as an option

About Museum of Psychology – Visualizing psychology
We understand reality at least through a combination of metaphors, images, stories and experiences. But also through our dreams, understandings, feelings, music, walk of life, directions, expectations, relations… and even more dimensions.
Much of this have in common that we can somehow sketch up maps and drawings of these places, trails and situations. Here on Museum of Psychology I (Frits Ahlefeldt) am drawing up a slowly growing map of our many landscapes of understanding.
