Can signs work stop people from what they were heading towards?
Setting up signs to stop people
Text and drawing by Frits Ahlefeldt
We’ve tried it with drunk driving, smoking and cutting corners in other ways but do these signs ever work
Yes and no, seems to be the answer. The signs might help move the balance, might help a bit like the stripes on a sports field, that reminds the players where the game stops, and reality start.
Signs can do the same, especially if people accept the rules and help each other remember why the signs are there… it can make a difference, humor might even lighten up the situation…

About Museum of Psychology – Visualizing psychology
We understand reality at least through a combination of impressions, metaphors, images, stories and experiences. But also through our dreams, understandings, feelings, music, walk of life, directions, expectations, relations… and much more.
Much of this have in common that we can somehow sketch up maps and drawings of these places, trails and situations. Here on Museum of Psychology I (Frits Ahlefeldt) am drawing up a slowly growing map of our many landscapes of understanding.
