Hope is most often seen as a good thing, but can it be the opposite?
Giving up hope can be the start of a new direction
Text and drawing by Frits Ahlefeldt
As long as there is hope – There can, unfortunately, also be procrastination, inaction, and delay.
Sometimes we are simply on the wrong track or heading the wrong way. And hope can sometimes be the factor that keep us waiting in the cue to the weekly lottery, instead of using better strategies to solve our challenges or head for our dreams.
It can be challenging to face the alternative, face the hopelessness, the darkness or the alternatives instead. Realizing that maybe that lottery is not the answer, maybe abandoning hope of a easy fix, is sometimes the best option.

About Museum of Psychology – Visualizing psychology
We understand reality at least through a combination of impressions, metaphors, images, stories and experiences. But also through our dreams, understandings, feelings, music, walk of life, directions, expectations, relations… and much more.
Much of this have in common that we can somehow sketch up maps and drawings of these places, trails and situations. Here on Museum of Psychology I (Frits Ahlefeldt) am drawing up a slowly growing map of our many landscapes of understanding.
